Model:
Peugeot 207 with AL4 Automatic Transmission.
Symptoms
Warning on display: Automatic transmission faulty.
Intermittent harsh gear changes, thumping in transmission with vehicle stationary.
The following fault code is logged in the transmission ECU:
Intermittent fault. EV2 solenoid valve, open or short circuit. P0753
Cause
The problem was traced to a faulty pin inside the grey 33 way connector on top of
the transmission. Pin B 11 was bent to one side and was not engaged correctly.
It appears this was an assembly mishap.
